The Fall Competitive Soccer Season
Tryouts will be held June 1-2 at Farnsworth Middle School. The schedule below is preliminary and may change based on the number of players in each group.
Fall 2026 teams will be made according to the new seasonal year schedule from USSoccer, Aug 1 to July 31. See the table further below. JYSA is modifying the team ages slightly to include the August birthdate players with their grade level.
Tryouts will be run by a variety of evaluators consisting of coaches, administrators, and other members of the soccer community. Each player will be evaluated based on where the players stand in relation to their peers at their current level of development. Ball control, touch, speed, strength, awareness, vision, etc. are all evaluated. Team size determinations are made based on the overall number of participants with the objective of placing players on teams where they will develop from their current skill level.
Our goal is to place every player on a team. However, this is not always possible due to varied skill levels of players and the number of players, teams or coaches. Players who are not selected for a team will be placed on a “potential players” list. If, before teams are finalized/registered for the season and the number of “potential players” is sufficient to warrant another team and if qualified, board-approved coaches are available, another team can be formed.
After tryouts are complete, players will be notified of placement on a team and given the opportunity to accept that placement and register with the club for the seasonal year.
Registration for Fall 2026 is for youth born between 9/1/2012 and 8/31/2018.

The same uniforms will be used for both Spring & Fall seasons. Uniforms will be maroon jersey with solid black shorts & maroon socks. The alternate uniform will be silver with a black stripe, black shorts and maroon socks. The new uniform cost with both jerseys is $50.00 or you can purchase them separately at the following prices: Socks $6, Shorts $15, Jersey $20

Registration per player: $145 / season
